The primary responsibility is to gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Business activities supported consist of financing products: loans, letter of credits, discount loans, and guarantees.
  • The production architecture consist of core processing systems interfacing to downstream money transfer, general ledger, money market funding, and risk systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility is to gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders. The business analyst will use the full range of business analysis skills including: user interface, interviewing, workflow analysis, testing, documentation, gap analysis and specification writing. Production Support is another key responsibility of the Business Analyst.

Responsibilities include:

  • Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements
  • Define and document requirements
  • Write functional specifications
  • Creation of test plans and test scripts
  • Model the requirements/specifications
  • Perform business process design in conjunction with operations teams
  • Lead requirements validation and traceability analysis
  • Manage scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in operational rollout and support
  • Production Support Services for Business related Issues

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Required: Working knowledge of Sybase and MS SQL, basic XML skills, Windows OS systems (XP, 2K3)

Desired/Plus: SQL development for Sybase, MS SQL databases

COMPETENCIES

Required: Comprehensive understanding of Business Analysis methodologies and modeling tools

Required: Understanding of Software Development Life cycle procedures

Desired: Understand Project Management methodologies

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required: Experience performing business analysis activities for large, complex financial software systems, Required: Three-plus years of financial / IT experience

Required: Experienced with business analysis methodologies, modeling tools and processes and documentation standards

Desired: Experience in/knowledge of Trade Finance and Commercial Loan Operation

Desired: Accounting Experience
