Exciting opportunity to join this high profile organisation in the well established Structured Finance team. The position is at Director level with a key focus on strengthening the team's output by producing insightful commentary on a variety of European structured finance sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • CMBS/Structured Finance research.
  • Guide junior team members in collection, analysis and synthesis of relevant data.
  • Produce leading edge commentary pieces for external publication.
  • Support surveillance analysts in the publication of articles.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take an active role in outreach campaigns, targeting investors in structured finance securities.
  • Present research at industry conferences and/or in-house seminars.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the structured finance group and beyond.
  • Mentor junior research and surveillance analysts in their role as producers of written publications.
  • Identify own learning and development needs for current and future development.

Requirements:

  • Extensive professional experience in financial markets, with the majority in a securitization-related role.
  • Understanding of major structured finance asset classes (ABS, CMBS, RMBS, CDO).
  • Extensive experience in research, preferably in a professional, customer-facing role, or possibly academic.
  • Ability to identify and distil patterns and trends.
  • Independence and ability to form and express a view.
  • Fluency in written English.
  • Ability to write creative, high impact, and professional articles.
  • Professional experience of writing for an external audience is desirable.
  • Confident and flexible team player.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills.
  • Analytically strong and highly numerate.
  • Solid understanding of credit analysis.
  • Ability to graphically present data.
  • Understanding of securitisation credit and cash flow modelling.
  • Awareness of statistical techniques.
  • Data manipulation skills, e.g. advanced MS Excel and/or Access.
