While we provide 24-hour a day support, our technologists work alongside many business areas and are broadly grouped into global teams spanning three time zones: Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

IT Internships
Most of our internships last for 10-12 weeks over the summer. For technically capable people with an interest in finance, Barclays Capital is a place to make your mark. Identifying, tracking and resolving IT issues are initial duties, alongside talking with traders to implement quantitative models. Further down the line, you could find yourself improving the design and structure of databases which will increase the speed and efficiency of our firm’s day-to-day operations. Apart from technical knowledge, the technology role demands a strong sense of initiative and the ability to prioritise workloads.
