This role is in the Middle Office of a leading Global Investment Bank with 6 global trading hubs and 4 of these located in Asia – Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

Activities:

• Work with business analyst and Finance IT technical experts to deliver work to time and budget.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for Source Systems interfaces

• Design and deliver new interfaces between Front Office source systems and SGL

• Build up a strong business knowledge

• Develop front to back knowledge of SGL environment

Key deliverables:

• Build Up new interfaces from Front Office Source Systems to SGL

• Roll out Global interfaces to Asia

• Coordinate Front to Back testing of migrations/innovations

• Improve the quality of the interfaces

Scope of Role:

• Solution design, engineering and testing of interfaces

• Hands-on senior developer required to join growing Finance IT Financial Control team to deliver strategic solutions for Financial Control in Asia.

• Communicate progress and problems appropriately to the Financial Control Technology Manager

• Work with business analyst and technical experts as required to deliver work to time and budget.

• Escalate as appropriate to Financial Control Technology Manager.

People Management:

• Assist developers with their understanding of technologies and their understanding of the SGL architecture.

• Train new member of the Financial Control team

• Work closely with our Indian Development Center and London teams.

• Strong interpersonal skills

Person Specification

Essential Experience:

Essential:

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant IT financial markets and investment banking experience

• Large scale datawarehousing experience.

• Experience of working as part of a full project lifecycle.

Desirable:

• Experience of working across a distance, working abroad.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Information Technology degree

• Excellent Communication

• Analytical skill set

• Experience of financial accounting.
