Key Responsibilities:
* To take responsibility for leading the design, measurement, analysis, evaluation and reporting of the Operational Risk across many different Business areas including all derivative product areas.
* Build a culture of partnership with the business and have the ability to use own judgement through experience and accurately assess their Operational Risks
* Manage the process for evaluating and rectifying major incidents across the business, ensuring swift resolution of the incident, capturing lessons learnt and any ensuring actions for improvement are implemented

Leadership
* Assign and review tasks in light of business priorities; establish guidelines and
procedures
* Strong leadership skills in the management of the assigned responsibilities including the risk and control self assessments, key risk indicators and the operational losses & events and risk assessment models
Delivering Solutions
* Contribute to the strategy and development of Operational Risk through extensive industry experience, knowledge and analysis
* Use in-depth asset management industry understanding from both regional and global perspective to underpin Operational Risk strategy
* Keep up to date with all regulatory and legal information
Technical Expertise
* In-depth understanding of the dynamics of equities and fixed income investments
* Good understanding of the macro-economic events and their implications
* Good listening and questioning skills as a significant source of information is through interacting with the business
Key Competencies required
* Excellent communication, reporting and networking skills
* The commercial experience and analytical mindset to be able to make sound recommendations on Operational Risk issues
* The ability to build rapport with the different types of individual across the business and develop strong relationships based around mutual respect in order to achieve multiple objectives in a constructive manner
* The strength of character to be able to discuss risk management issues openly and firmly
* Be able to focus on delivery and work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple projects
* The ability to motivate other members of the team
