The Ticker Plant Group is looking for an experienced, innovative and delivery-focused senior developer to join the Feeds Systems team.

The Feeds Systems team designs, builds and maintains the Bloomberg's global real-time market data distribution infrastructure.

The Research and Development division of Bloomberg is responsible for creating and maintaining all functions within the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL SERVICE which is used by our clients in the Finance industry. This includes a large scale distributed financial information system comprising - Trading functions, Market analysis, live data and News. All our developers will have direct impact on our product available to the finance industry across the globe


Requirements

Excellent knowledge of C++
Experience of object-oriented design and patterns
Experience of multi-threaded/concurrent programming
Experience of the full development life cycle
Good knowledge of common UNIX/Linux tools
You should be a team player with a 'can do' attitude
You should be a natural problem solver with a curiosity to learn and understand systems beyond those for which you have direct responsibility
You should have good leadership and communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders as well as external clients

Other desirable skills include:
Leadership experience
FIX and other proprietary protocols
Experience with static and runtime tools such as debuggers, profilers, etc
Experience of interpreted/scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl etc.
Financial industry experience

The Interview process will be:

- Phone interview with senior management
