The Skills and requirements for the Head of Corporate Real Estate
Key priorities will include:
- Defining The Corporate Banks product offering and target customer profile for this market sector and developing a strategy for profitable growth
- Contributing to planning and strategy as a key part of the Major Corporates senior management team
- Motivating and inspiring your team to perform strongly in a very difficult market environment, and managing any performance issues
- Building relationships with customers and cross-selling the Corporate banks products
Identifying deliverable new business opportunities for the Corporate Bank
- Reducing the Corporate Banks  risk exposure to some customers, including negotiating and managing complex restructurings
- Embedding improved controls and monitoring processes, to reduce risk
- Developing personal credibility as an expert and trusted adviser in the real estate banking sector
Core responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a strategy for the Corporate Banks activities in this market sector, including defining the target customer base and product suite
- Leading, motivating, developing and appraising team members, so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business, undertaking the recruitment process when required
- Through a team of relationship managers managing a designated portfolio of customer relationships in order to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way meeting Bank credit and profitability requirements
- Developing, structuring and reviewing proposals in order to meet customer requirements and identifying opportunities to develop further income, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions
- Managing the customer interface in order to ensure enquiries and issues are satisfactorily resolved
- Managing the negotiation of terms and conditions of credit facilities and services after consulting with all relevant parties, and reviewing credit proposals, providing appropriate challenge and coaching to relationship managers
- Monitoring utilisation of facilities, dealing with excesses within the jobholders discretion, reporting other excess situations as appropriate in order to manage away unacceptable risk

The candidate must have a min of 3 years Real Estate experience within Corporate Banking and have potentially been invoved in an advisory capacity to understand and develop products within the market.
Experience within large corporates is essential in order to grow and develop the team and the client base.
