Award winning and one of the leading legal and fiduciary services firms is currently seeking a Group Financial Accountant who will report to the Group Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities:
- To provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial management information to their Partners, management, group finance and subsidiary entities
- To maintain development and operations of systems to ensure integrity of the accounting information and the safe custody of all company assets
- Ensure compliance to all procedures to eliminate and detect fraud or theft of company assets
- To provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information to their regulators and other bodies (GST, VAT etc)
- Obtain a clean audit opinion on their financial statements and subsidiary entities
- Assist in the development and delivery of the overall strategy and operational development of the Finance department.
- Day to day management of Group Finance staff
- Set annual Group staff objectives and Personal Development Programs
- Maintenance and supervision of asset register
- Compliance to GST, VAT returns (quarterly) including review of exemptions
- Ensuring compliance to their expenditure authorisation procedures
- Organise and attend at Team Finance Meetings
- Offer guidance and training to Group Finance staff where applicable
- Ensure adequate security is observed at all times
- Prepare reports for Management as required
- Ensure adherence to month end procedures and deadlines
- Assist with month end production, depreciation, deferred income etc
- Assist with Group allocations
- Coordinate and reconcile all intercompany accounts
- Arbitration of disputes
- Ensure employee adherence to Procedures and Policies Finance Manual
- To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support colleagues.
- To undertake other duties, training and or hours of work as maybe reasonably required and are constant with the general level of responsibility of this job
This does not include all minor duties
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA or ACCA)
- Approximately 5 years post qualification experience
- Detail oriented, analytical in approach, with a strong sense of initiative
- Results driven
- EU Passport holder
