Equity Research Analyst: Industrials Sector

Position Description:

As part of the continued expansion of our global investment platform, we need to hire an experienced Equity Analyst to join our Global Industry Research Group. Based in either Hong Kong or Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading coverage of relevant companies within the Industrials sector throughout the Asia Pacific region. The individual will work closely with team members in Boston and London, as well as colleagues within the region.

The Global Industry Research Group is recognised as core to the success of our equity investment process. For the right candidate, it is expected that the position would evolve to incorporate sector portfolio management responsibilities over time.

The Role

* Provide detailed coverage of a defined universe of companies within the Industrials sector
* Formulate a view and rating on individual stocks within this universe, effectively communicating this information to the Portfolio Managers within the firm
* Recommend securities that will actively contribute to the out-performance of client portfolios
* Over time begin to actively manage the appropriate portion of the firm's dedicated Analyst managed regional and sector portfolios

Qualifications

* Minimum of 8 years relevant investment research experience
* Direct knowledge of the Industrials sector and companies within the sector across the Asia-Pacific region
* A demonstrable track record of stock picking and superior analysis skills
* Experience within a buy-side environment a distinct advantage
* Strong academic background, ideally including an MBA and/or CFA
* The ability to work autonomously, making well informed investment decisions under pressure and in uncertain times
