We are a fast growing, niche recruitment consultancy specialising in private equity. Our clients and candidates are some of the most exciting and dynamic professionals in financial services. Our assignments are always challenging and our commitment to find the best candidates in the market is paramount.

We require a Research Analyst in our research team in London. The role is varied and you will be the first point of contact that many candidates have with us. You will work alongside the Research Team to identify, cold call, source, interview and build long-term relationships with candidates for specific assignments and generally for the firm. As a result, a high level of personal presentation and determination is vital.

The Research Analyst will need to build candidate relationships and maintain PER’s strong reputation in the market. The following tasks will be included in the role:

• Cold call identified potential candidates working in relevant financial institutions
• Find high quality candidates from PER’s database, web ads, external databases, networking sites, research, etc
• Screen candidates through telephone and face to face interviews in accordance with a standard interview format that elicits relevant information from candidates
• Source top candidates through team mapping
• Ensure resourcing targets are met
• Produce shortlists of appropriate, screened candidates for client assignments
• Build good relationships with relevant candidates

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge and interest in finance
• Some exposure to either private equity or to recruitment would be useful but is not necessary
• The ability to do cold calling in an effective and focused manner
• Highly literate with excellent written and spoken English. German or Scandinavian language is a plus
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, polite, well spoken and mature, using clear and appropriate language
• Strong personal discipline in following up leads and maintaining volume of calls
• Determined, and with the ability to react calmly to unexpected situations.
• Resourceful, ambitious
• High standards with immaculate attention to detail
• Able to exercise initiative, plan and prioritise time with a high degree of common sense
