The Credit Risk Developer who will form part of the Credit Risk Solutions Delivery team will play a lead role as a developer & stream lead for developing and delivering requirements assigned from the ACES or NIKE BoW as well as any FM Projects initiatives. The candidate will work closely with the stake holders on ensuring any solution proposed meet the requirements provided via a BRD & Functional Specifications.

- FM Projects Developer & Stream Lead
- Architecture ¿ scalability and performance
- Algorithmics Risk Suite Interfaces to downstream systems and data warehouse

Act as a lead developer supporting the design and deliverables for BoW and FM Projects assigned ensuring that all deliverables are robust and scalable and does not breach any audit policy.



The candidate will also ensure that each deliverable is aligned to the Basel DW requirements outlined as well as other downstream systems to ensure no negative impact.

Experience Required

Essential

. Degree in Computing Science, Engineering or a comparable field

. Knowledge of Derivatives trading (front office) or Risk Systems (preferably Credit)

. Successful development of critical applications

. Previous technical experience in a large company, preferably global, preferably financial.

. Use of source control system preferably clearcase.

. Complete SDLC experience on a large UNIX-based multi-tier system

Desired

1 Previous Development experience in an international investment bank

2 In-depth knowledge of Equities, Commodities, FX or IR Derivatives trading (front office)

Skills Required

Essential
. Unix , preferably Solaris
. Unix Shell Scripting
. Object-oriented programming language, preferably Java (J2EE, JMS)
. OO Development framework (Swing, Struts)
. Relational Database, preferably Sybase
. SQL
. XML & XSLT coding experience
. Strong Problem Solving Skills
. Self Motivated
. Fluency in spoken English
. Good communication skills, especially verbal (including telephone) and written.

Desirable
. Perl
. Ajax, JavaScript
. Database/SQL performance tuning
. HDF5 or some other high performance I/O format
. Mark-to-Future architecture for Credit Risk systems
. Knowledge of real-time critical interfaces
. Publish/Subscriber tools ¿ MQ Series
. Good communication and networking skills, especially with colleagues in other regions
. MxML experience (previous murex knowledge required)
. Riskwatch knowledge.
. Automated Batch Processing Tools (Control M preferred)
