The role also involves the ongoing monitoring of exposures and counterparty credit worthiness.
Main Duties
- Prepare high quality credit comments on submissions from business units highlighting relevant credit issues, demonstrating a deep knowledge and understanding of local markets, sectors and clients.
- Exercising sound credit judgement when exercising delegated authority.
- Good response time to make sure that work is completed within agreed timescale
- The job will require communication with front office units originating transactions. The jobholder will need to assess and understand complex transactions and documentation and be able to make recommendations and include appropriate risk mitigants.
- The candidate will need to monitor outstanding exposure on a continuing basis and alert management to negative developments which may affect the creditworthiness of counterparties. The ongoing monitoring of exposure will include the completion of annual reviews of clients, industries and countries. The candidate will also need to be aware of jurisdictional issues relating to the portfolio.

Experience Required
Solid experience in Credit Risk at a top financial institution with knowledge of corporate’s and derivative and loan products and legal documentation.
