Responsibilities
This is a challenging position on the Technology Operations team requiring a wide array of skills in core IT infrastructure. The candidate must be very motivated and willing to take on challenges, learn new concepts and be willing to multi-task to succeed. The Technology Operations team is responsible for the network, voice, servers, storage, workstations, directory services, messaging, and software distribution systems. The job requires a very good understanding of the underlying platform infrastructure. The team is responsible for setting standards for HW and core Operating software for all the aforementioned environments. This includes HW standards for network, voice systems, servers, storage and workstations, standards for operating systems, firmware, application versions, etc. Besides selecting the appropriate standards, the team is responsible for designing the infrastructure and implementation and creation of SOPs in coordination with the operations teams. The team also has ongoing responsibility to oversee the operations teams and ensure that SOPs are followed, problems identified and resolved in a timely manner. Primary Responsibilities -The position's primary focus will be the maintenance and support of Moody?s Global telephone systems. -Respond to request for telephone Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) -Monitor the status of the various PBXs, voicemail systems and troubleshoot any service impacting problems -Provide Call Detail records upon request from management or Human Resources -Ensure Telecom systems are backed up on a timely basis. -Interface with Service providers to install new services or troubleshoot problems when the arise -Terminate connections for faxes, phones, modems or other analog devices -Configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager with any new dial plans, phones, soft phone, trunks and/or gateways -Support the Global Customer Service Center in various locations using knowledge of Cisco?s UCCX (Unified Contact Center Express) solution -Assist in creating SOPs and reporting for operations teams and ensure adherence to the same -Assist in evaluation and recommendation of HW/SW solutions for other IT teams / business groups -Keeping abreast of new technologies and developments in related area of responsibility -Recommend adoption of new technologies and work on testing and deployment plans
Qualifications
Education Qualification and Certification Requirements -Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent area of study -Industry Certification in relevant area is a plus -Minimum 2 years experience in IT industry in relevant area Technical Skills -Experience with development of fault tolerant, redundant, and scalable networking solutions. Understanding of how HA technologies function and their limitations is also important. -Experience in support Cisco Communications Manager, Unity or Unity Connection voicemail system and Unified Contact Center Express in a production environment -Experience working with Cisco Voice Gateways, Phones ( desk, soft phone, conference phones) dial plans, route filters and Trunks -Experience supporting RTP, H323, MGCP and Cisco SCCP (Skinny) /SCCPS (Secure Skinny) Protocols -Experience with Ethernet Switching technologies and related IEEE standards (i.e. 802.1d, 802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1x, 802.11a/b/g, etc). -Experience with common cabling plant standards and various LAN/WAN interface technologies (T1, E1, T3). -Experience with IPv4 networking, IPv4 dynamic routing - especially OSPF and BGP. -Experience with IPSec VPN technologies. -Experience with common voice technologies and standards (BRI, PRI, T1-CAS,). -Understanding of networking fundamentals -Excellent communication and documentation skills -Ability to learn quickly and draw meaningful conclusions from independent research -Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects -Ability to understand and analyze client requirements and provide appropriate solutions
