Department and Location: Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Sales and Global Markets Structured Sales, EMEA
The role reports to Institutional Sales COO as part of the Global Markets Sales Business Management team which includes the following components:
• Strategy
• Client Information
• Client Management Support
• Business Management
The focus is to champion revenue, risk and expense initiatives for the group. Functions include financial control/budgeting, management reporting, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, associate training, process improvement, business continuity, and communication
Skills required:
-Thorough knowledge of Sales function and general understanding of Market’s product set
-Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs, procedures and financial/accounting practices
-Partnership: develop excellent working relationships with Product, Support partners and other business lines, such as the Investment Banking group.
-Leadership: identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives executing change
-Track record of people management
-Organization, follow-thru and escalation when required
-Communication: written, oral and ability to prepare presentations to highlight performance
Specific responsibilities:
-Management reporting: develop cross-product management reporting analyzing headcount and financial information
-Headcount: maintain accurate and complete headcount list / organization charts, coordinate Cost Center changes
-Business Support: manage sales personnel and financial information
-Sales Assistants: assist in the hiring, on-boarding, and training
-General support for Sales / Sales Management: development of training programs, assisting in recruiting, organises town halls, etc.
-Client Management: manage client related activities and 3rd party surveys
-Client entertainment: central coordinator and distributor across Markets for London based entertainment
-Sponsorships: manage the spend and participation in client sponsored charities
-Client surveys: manage client targets in 3rd party survey
-Business Control: serve as point person for Support Partners from Compliance, Audit, Supervision, Facilities, Personnel and Legal
-On-board new Associates (licenses, seating, policies / practices, etc.)
-Registration: review and schedule required testing for Associates as necessary, determine branch office licensing requirements and action as necessary
-Supervision: assist in rollout of enhanced Supervision program working closely with the Sales Business Supervision Officer
-Compliance / Audit: Assist With Compliance issues, AML, Branch reviews, etc.
-Training: Ensure 100% completion rate for required reviews (Supervisory Acknowledgement, Code Of Ethics, etc.)
-Facilities and Contingency: manage seating / office changes and ensure complete contingency plans
-Projects: participate / manage related projects as necessary (Account Documentation, Client Selection Strategy, etc.)
