The company has a small Application Support Team that acts as a conduit between the traders, the business and IT as they become an integral part of problem resolution and escalations. In this small environment, multi-skilling is key and this will give you the opportunity to work on key trading systems ⁄ applications.

This is the opportunity to lead this technical impressive team through strong management, delegating work and taking responsibility for the whole production environment. In this role you will work with industry leading technologists and draw on your hands on experience of supporting trading applications to manage and guide resolution of production issues.

Skills required include:

• 5+ years experience in Application Support role in trading⁄financial markets environment
• Proven team leadership ability in complex, fast paced environments
• Experience working within the Financial Industry, with a good understanding of trading terminology, business process, familiarity of Middle Office, Back Office processing (settlements, confirmations etc.)
• Familiarity of working within a Trading environment, with  Market Information and Trading applications & Infrastructure - ORC, ITS, CLICK, IRESS, FIX ⁄ Client Connectivity, Bloomberg, Reuters
• Understanding of financial products (ideally derivatives)
• Strong database and SQL skills
• Good working knowledge and proven application of Unix and shell scripting
• Excellent communication required - verbal and written
• Proactive and Logical approach to problem solving
