Senior Accountant, Hedge Funds (12 Month Contract)

A Canadian based firm whose mission is to provide high quality Hedge Funds offerings to high net worth individuals, pension funds, endowments and foundations is currently looking for a Senior Accountant, Hedge Funds to assume what is to be a 12 month contract. 

Working with this growing firm, the role of Senior Accountant, Hedge Funds will be accountable for the valuation of complex investments funds including portfolio valuation and pricing; the preparation of financial statements; the communication and coordination with investors and external managers; and to provide key support with systems development. 

Requirements / Qualifications:

As a strong candidate to be positioned for this 12 month contract engagement, you bring 2 or more years of related industry experience with a focus on Hedge Funds and Derivatives. Your experience will include an in-depth knowledge of hedging principles and complex derivative knowledge. You thrive working in an entrepreneurial, unstructured environment and adapt well to change. You have the ability to multi-task and keep focus on special projects while working well in a small team environment. Excellent proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel is required while a working knowledge of Statpro systems would be a definite advantage.
