This is a leading global bank is currently seeking to add an IT Professional to be part of its Technology Development Team in Singapore.

Main Responsibilities / Deliverables:

• Oracle Developer for Investment Banking development team, engaged in development and testing of reports.
• Communicate effectively with business analysts and project managers, understanding detailed business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle
• Communicate directly with business users to gain an in-depth understanding of new requirements and minor system changes
• Work closely with development team members in London and Singapore participating in and contributing to technical discussions
• Point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production
• Requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes
• Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications
• Prepare Design documents adhering to predefined standards
• Review existing reports for improvements using available Oracle features
• Hands on design & development of reports using Oracle 9i, 10g databases, delivering the functionality detailed in the functional specifications
• Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
• Tuning existing interfaces to ensure acceptable application performance
• Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases
• Prepare & execute detailed unit test cases and document results
• Providing support during QA and UAT test phases
• Training and knowledge transfer to support team

To secure an interview, you will need to establish competencies in the following areas:

• Oracle development experience (Database Procedures, Packages and Triggers, Oracle 9i or above, Oracle Performance Tuning skills)
• Unix, SQL, Primary skill should be Database Development
• Good experience with gathering user requirements, providing opinion on systems upgrades
• Good with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office trading concepts
