PORTFOLIO ANALYST - EQUITIES (LONDON, CANARY WHARF)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Rexiter Fund Managers for a given set of portfolios to ensure that the portfolios meet their daily requirements and deadlines, to enable the Portfolio Managers to manage the portfolios effectively and efficiently. The Rexiter Portfolio Analysts are one group within the wider Equity Portfolio Admin team. The Portfolio Analyst will be the interface between the Investment teams and the other Operations teams and will need to work with other members of the department to successfully support the Portfolio Managers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Portfolio Analyst will for a given set of portfolios:
• Become the point of contact for a specific number of portfolios, becoming the owner of the Portfolio's from an Operations perspective.
• Ensure accurate portfolio positions are reflected on the accounting systems, and monthly portfolio sign offs are performed in an accurate and timely manor.
• Monitor and facilitate the monthly performance cycle
• Provide daily support to the Portfolio Managers, ensuring accuracy of Cash Forecasting and Overdraft and Exposure reporting.
• Escalate any potential risk reconciliation items to the Portfolio Managers
• Respond to queries raised by the Portfolio Managers in a timely fashion
• Work with other Investment Operations departments and Investment teams to improve processing efficiency.
• Complete monthly, quarterly and yearly Client Reporting for your allocated funds.
• Complete weekly Month to Date performance calculations and valuations to enable the PM's to get an accurate reflection of their portfolios performance and holdings.
• Complete projects as assigned.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• University Degree or equivalent advantageous
• Relevant experience in an asset management, custody or investment bank environment.
• Knowledge of the performance process and calculations would be considered an advantage.
• Securities Institute /Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) completed or completing considered an advantage
• Product knowledge - Equities, Fixed Interest, Futures and derivatives
• Detailed understanding of Portfolio Management, Investment markets and settlement practices
• Strong PC skills, specifically Excel skills (Advanced + VBA)
• Analytically minded with strong problem resolving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients

Candidate will have experience either at an investment manager or Custodian. Has shown the ability to use his/her initiative in a business environment. This role is varied and required someone whom is enthusiastic and motivated and can demonstrate being proactive in enhancing and developing processes. Candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and must be willing to assume responsibility
