ACPI Investments Limited, a $2.5bn independent asset manager based in Mayfair, requires an operational due diligence analyst for its ‘multi manager’ team. The role will cover the firm’s fund of hedge funds, fund of long funds, private wealth platform, seeding and third party distribution businesses.

Firm

ACPI Investments Limited is an independent asset management company providing institutions (pension funds, banks, insurance companies & endowments), family offices & private clients with tailored investment solutions.  The firm was formed in December 2008, following the merger of ACP Partners LLP and TriAlpha Investment Advisors Ltd., and rebranded in July 2009.  ACPI currently employs 35 professionals worldwide, and managed approximately $2.5bn (as at Q3 2009) via a range of hedge fund of funds, long only fund of funds, direct fixed income and equity funds and a Wealth Management Platform offering a comprehensive service to UHNW individuals.

Background

ACPI’s ‘multi manager’ team has responsibility for research and portfolio management relating to the firm’s fund of hedge funds, fund of long only funds, private wealth management platform, seeding and third party distribution businesses.  This team is currently incorporates 6 individuals.

Role

The team are currently looking for an Operational Due Diligence analyst to take responsibility for operational research relating to all of the team’s investments activities.  In addition to the operational due diligence function that is usual for a fund of hedge funds, this role has wider scope, and includes fund of hedge funds, fund of long only funds, private wealth management platform (incorporating hedge, long only and private equity funds), seeding and third party distribution.

This role will include full veto power over all investments, and as such is integral to the team’s success.

Requirements

As a result of the scope of the role it would be most suited to an entrepreneurial individual, who is looking to widen their operational experience beyond simply fund of funds, and who would ultimately like to pursue a career in operations (such as COO).

The individual must have a number of years experience in operational due diligence, or in a role that would have allowed them to acquire similar skills.

Any candidate must be flexible and able to work unsupervised (effectively ‘running’ their own internal business).  They must also be willing to take responsibility and be confident in using the veto power that comes with the role.

As the firm is fast moving and expanding quickly any individual must be comfortable working in such an environment.

As the role is UK based, applicants must currently hold the right to work within the UK, as the firm is not in a position to sponsor possible candidates.
