This is a full and exciting contract to work with the business and the executive team to lead the design and execution of a centralised Procurement Strategy. Whilst Procurement has previously existed within the business lines, this is a new role.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership to the business on Procurement management frameworks
- Develop a flexible and leading Procurement strategy and implement the model across the business achieving stakeholder buy in and acceptance of the centralised process
- Establish service provider relationships, securing a framework measuring savings and benefits
- Establish the supplier performance framework and service level agreements to monitor and control the Procurement process
- Develop strong relationships with the Executive team and Steering Committee of the business
- Ensure communication is optimised both internally and externally to maximise acceptance and success for the business and the community
Your Experience
- Deep experience successfully performing leadership roles within Procurement / Strategic Sourcing, ideally within the Insurance industry
- Proven experience identifying solutions and processes that reduce the cost of claims and corporate spend
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to work laterally across a business and deliver a commercial and practical solution tailored to the business and service providers requirements
- Superior stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent project management and delivery skills
- Ideally adept at operating in a high profile environment, sensitive to internal and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications with industry specific post graduate qualifications preferable
