Account Management – North America

This is a senior appointment in Markit’s North American account management team with responsibility for coverage of accounts within various regions within the United States.  The successful candidate will have broad experience in financial markets, account management and the ability to manage complex relationships.

Duties & accountabilities

  • Development and execution of an account management plan for their assigned region and /or accounts
  • Relationship maintenance and development with key relationships
  • Working with product/sales groups in the execution of contracts
  • Renewal of existing contracts
  • Strategic work and thinking with client base to identify new initiatives and partnership opportunities
  • Internal communication and reporting on progress
  • Participation in specific project teams towards launch of new products and services

Business competencies

Education and experience

oBroad based experience with another market data vendor or investment bank at a senior level with exposure to managing complex relationships and/or processes

oKnowledge and experience of capital markets and especially OTC derivatives and/or structured credit

oStrong written and verbal communication skills

oStrong inter-personal and influencing skills

Commercial awareness

Key requirement of managing complex relationships towards the main objective of increasing revenue streams year-on-year in line with the account plan
