Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understand the strategic environment for all global distribution markets, including business and product trends, with a focus on assigned European markets.
- Develop strategy and multi-year business plans as assigned, synthesizing all relevant business inputs (i.e., markets and product dynamics, competitors, regulatory environments, pricing, staffing, etc.).
- Support the Head of Strategy and Business Planning to present strategic initiatives and business plans to executive management through well-prepared presentations.
- Working in collaboration with Business Development Units, affiliates, and core support teams, identify new business opportunities, products or product adaptations
- Communicate and coordinate with BDUs and core support teams to ensure that development initiatives are aligned with approved strategic priorities and objectives.
- Guide and monitor implementation of strategic business initiatives against target timelines.
- Assess the viability of potential strategic distribution partnerships.
- Coordinate preparation of periodic business strategy reviews, including regional Strategy Summits.
- Build strong relationships with assigned BDUs and partner with them on business planning and development initiatives.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with other core support teams to collaborate on implementation of strategic initiatives.
Experience / Qualifications
8-10 years asset management industry experience in a business strategy or product management function. Experience should be with a leading global asset manager distributing through multiple international business channels. Institutional experience strongly preferred.
Understand all components necessary to develop a strong strategic plan, including market research, product development trends, the sales process, regulatory structures, business metrics and budgets.
Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to move to practical application.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and orally.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to determine priorities, plan, organize and produce results on multiple concurrent projects. Must be able to work autonomously and to demonstrate hands-on capabilities.
Team player orientation, including the ability to build relationships with business partners throughout the organization and foster a culture of trust and interdependence.
Bilingual in French and English. Fluent in Italian or German
