This rapidly developing Global Investment Banking Institution is looking to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting with prior banking experience to play central role in the development of the Finance function. Responsible for managing a team (6 people) you will perform a high profile role within the business being the no2 to the Head of Financial Control and having responsibility for communicating with senior management across the firm. You will be expected to find effective solutions driving through a good deal of change within the financial reporting framework.

Job Description for VP Head of Financial Reporting

-Reporting to the Head of Financial Control

-Manage, train and develop a team of 6 Individuals within the Financial Reporting function

-Regular review and analysis of the Balance Sheet and General Ledger

-Proactive development of process and procedure

-Key Involvement in several large scale accounting projects including a new system implementation

-Facilitate Internal and External Audit process

-Ownership of regulatory control i.e SOX compliance

-Regular face-off with local heads of Product Control, Operations and also regional and global financial reporting counterparts.

Experience Required For VP Head of Financial Reporting

 - 10 years+ Accounting/Financial Reporting experience

 - Explicit experience within Investment Banking/Broking business in the accounting area

 - Good knowledge with the Regulatory requirements within the Banking sector

 - High energy and drive to take the function forwards

 - Strong Communications skills – written and verbal – English and Cantonese desirable

 - Demonstrable experience of developing processes and systems.
