Job Description
Working to provide finance and accounting strategy as well as process and information content consulting services. You will focus on finance processes including record to report, planning and forecasting, procure to pay, order to cash, general and project accounting.
As a member of the team you will be expected to lead, consult and help grow areas of the business. Typical projects activities will include: defining finance strategy/vision for a Finance Operating Model including the optimization of transactional processing shared service operations or outsourcing operations; benchmarking finance processes and identifying improvements and related benefits (i.e. business case); developing finance transformation strategy, specifically analysis of "as-is" versus "leading practices" and identification of overall transformation plans.
Required
• Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent, at a leading institution
• Experience at a Tier 1 consulting organisation
• Solid understanding of the finance function; including detailed knowledge within at least one of the following: Record to Report, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash
• Proven track record in delivering complex Finance projects as a business change expert
• Good understanding of Project methodologies i.e. risk & issues management, status reporting, stakeholder management, project milestones and benefits realisation
• Finance Transformation experience including process re-engineering, organisational design, strategy, best practice implementation, shared services and technology challenges and complexities
• Experience at designing target operating models
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• European language skills an advantage
• Confident approach, determined, self motivated with excellent communication skills
• Have a flexible and team focused working style
• Willingness to travel
Mandatory for Manager Level and above (level of experience dependent on position applied for)
• Proven experience in leading successful large scale Projects & Programmes
• Full project lifecycle experience - feasibility, solution design, transition and transformation stages
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals and project teams, adapt to change and show flexibility in working style
• Experience in developing, bidding and winning opportunities
• Ability to mentor and train senior consultants
• The ability to present to Board Level client decision makers, and be viewed as a trusted advisor
Preferred
• Project management qualifications (Prince2, MSP, PMP)
• Six Sigma Green, Black or Master Black Belts
• Accounting qualification – ACA or CIMA
• Experience of large shared services or outsourcing programmes, preferably with a major blue chip or consulting environment
Logistics
• Position: Permanent role with the potential to work as an associate if preferred
• Location: London based, with possible travel
