Position Description:

An opportunity exists for a Research Associate to join the Basic Materials team. Ideal candidates will have experience of working in an analytical role within a Commodities company or have sector analysis experience from an accounting, consulting, investment banking or investment management background.

Responsibilities
• Creation and maintenance of earnings models leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics
• Keeping abreast of industry-related news flow
• Developing and maintaining relationships with investor relations personnel and management of companies under coverage
• Regular interaction with equity sales force
• Researching and writing reports with a company or sector specific focus
• Responding to requests for data and information from internal and external clients
• Understanding the nuances of the industry
• Assisting in the design and preparation of analyst marketing strategy and material



Skills Required:
Requirements
• Strong Analytical / Financial Skills required
• Must have financial modeling experience and strong writing skills
• Mandarin language skills (please indicate level of competency)
• First rate verbal and written English language communication skills essential
• Need to be high energy, self-motivated and creative
• Strong focus on teamwork
