The role exists to support the treasury organisation in meeting its objective to manage the Groups liquidity risk. This role will provide effective governance to manage liquidity as well as clarity and fairness for Divisions with respect to pricing of liquidity/funding.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide Treasury thought  leadership and insight on the Group’s liquidity risk position and the application of the Fund Transfer Pricing policy
  • Coordinate with Market Access Functions and Divisions to operate the Liquidity Clearing House on a day-to-day basis and ensure liquidity information is available
  • Steer liquidity limit-setting/monitoring process for businesses and Market Access Functions
  • Produce reports on liquidity mismatch profiles for all relevant units
  • Apply pricing mechanisms for liquidity and funding for Divisions and Market Access Functions
  • Propose funds transfer pricing and behavioural policies
  • Monitor regular Group liquidity reporting to GALCO, other management and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Propose approach and limits to GALCO
  • Support and encourage staff development by agreeing objectives and training requirements and reviewing these periodically
  • Ensure effective communication with leadership, management and employees

Candidate Requirements

  • Breadth of experience in Liquidity and Funding and liquidity risk management
  • Extensive banking, treasury and related regulatory experience gained from working within a large treasury function for at least 5-10 years
  • Detailed knowledge of a wide range of Treasury products, their risks and the effect of external factors of the prices of such instruments
  • Degree qualification
  • Recognised accounting / treasury / liquidity risk qualification
  • Ideally change Skills – defining strategy, and executing through leadership
  • Negotiation between division and group
  • Track record of delivering through a global matrixed organisation
