Senior Operational Risk Management Officer
Experienced Risk professional ready for an international challenge
Main responsibilities
The Senior Operational Risk Officer supports the Operational Risk Management (ORM) department in achieving a mature level of operational risk management, continuity and internal control management.
1. ORM Framework Tasks
- You support the Head of ORM Europe to enhance the ORM process in your specific responsibility area.
- Support and/or execute Integrated Self Assessments, Key Risk Indicators, Incident Reporting and AO Scan processes throughout the region.
- Work in special projects related to the improvement of the operational environment of INGIM Europe and, eventually, in co-ordination with other ING Group Staff departments (for instance, Crisis Management project from Corporate Legal & Compliance).
2. Important Co-ordination Tasks
- You co-ordinate all activities for the Integrated Control Framework (ICF) that fit all regulatory requirements and can act as SAS 70 – type 2 co-ordinator for INGIM Europe.
- Manage the AO-scan and IR-scan tools for a specific area within the organisation (Front office, Back Office or Enabling processes).
- Provide input for internal & external auditors so as to facilitate and optimise certification processes or internal audits.
- You provide ORM support to one or two European IIM offices.
3. Internal Control Tasks
- Communicates & clarifies test and work programmes in relation to certifications and related business processes in scope.
- Participates in meetings to discuss the test results with stakeholders and management and propose plans for the timely resolution of identified weaknesses in order to close eventual control gaps of any nature.
- Reports & advises on internal control issues to stakeholders & management.
Education and experience
- Master degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
- Professional certification such as RA, CFA or FRM.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in audit, operational risk management or financial control functions within Asset Management or related industry.

Department
The Regional ORM department adds value by assisting the General Management of INGIM Europe with the control of the operational risks notably in the Benelux, and monitoring the other European offices. We want to improve our ORM performance in 2010 and we are therefore looking for an experienced colleague.
