To satisfy the needs of our growing capital base, Hamilton Lane is seeking an Analyst to join its Secondaries Investment Team. The Secondaries Team is primarily responsible for the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities in existing buyout and venture capital private equity funds.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The initial screening and valuation of secondary private equity investment opportunities
   
• Assist in the drafting and presentation of memorandums and returns analysis to the firms Investment Committee
   
• Conducting research and diligence on both underlying portfolio companies and private equity firms
   
• Operating and constructing detailed financial models
   
• The monitoring of existing holdings and the maintenance of the investment database
   
• Occasionally assisting in the preparation of presentation materials to support the marketing and investor relations functions of the secondaries business

Necessary Qualifications:

• One to four years experience within the financial industry
   
• Outstanding academic record required (economics, accounting or finance background preferred)
   
• Prior experience in investment banking, financial consulting, private equity or valuation group preferred, but not required
   
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and company valuation
   
• Must be proactive on projects, demonstrate initiative and possess the ability to multi-task
   
• Strong written and oral communication skills
   
• Must have positive attitude and be able to thrive in diverse, personable and team-oriented company environment
   
• Considerable interest and commitment to private equity investing
