Our client is a China-based alternative asset fund manager with over $2 billion in committed capital under management. They have consistently delivered superior returns relative to industry peers and are well positioned to continue to generate superior returns due to the team's proven investment experience and expertise investing in China. Due to business expansion in Greater China, our client is seeking a senior executive to join as Vice President, Real Estate. This position is based in Beijing.

Purpose

The incumbent is involved in all stages of the investment process including evaluating opportunities, structuring and closing investments and actively monitoring portfolio companies and directly reports to the Managing Director for Real Estate Group.
 

Description

Conduct overall analysis of the portfolios, including tracking significant events, reviewing valuation assumptions and cash flow projections, managing data collection and organizing and compiling historic and future capital flows

Review and perform ad hoc analysis on project development and operating budgets, cost schedules, leasing forecasts and assumptions, and general analysis related to the development and management of real estate assets

Participate in the investment decision-making process, with regards to asset buy/sell analyses and the effects of other capital events by working directly with the senior management team
 

Requirement

• Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of experience in real estate investment of which 3 years are in China
• Sound financial modeling skills & commercial judgment
• Excellent quantitative and financial analysis 
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Good PC skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
