Due to substantial growth, this leading US hedge fund is looking to secure a new Legal and Compliance Assistant to provide legal, compliance and administrative support to the Compliance Director.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily compliance monitoring of trading activities ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Preparing legal documentation, reports, manuals, correspondence, regulatory filings and records.
- Reviewing compliance forms and administrative documentation.
- Filing and management of firm recordkeeping to ensure compliance with SFC requirements.
- Assisting with on-going compliance projects.
- Liaising internally on outstanding matters.
- Co-ordinating and maintaining legal and compliance calendar.
- Participating with the development of compliance programs.
- Providing administrative and necessary support to Compliance Director.
Key skills and experience required includes:
- Minimum of 3 years compliance experience.
- Must have worked within an asset management/equities/investment environment.
- Self-starter with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good English and Chinese language skills.
- Ability to read and write Chinese.
- Good Japanese language, reading and writing skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Individual who is willing to learn and accept a wide variety of work and responsibilities.
