Department



The Global Managed Investments group, which is part of the Financial Institutions group, rates money market, short-term and bond funds; pension funds; investment management companies; closed end funds and other types of collective investment vehicles. The global team includes several analysts based in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America. The European team includes four analysts and senior associates based in London, one analyst based in Paris and one in the Czech Republic. The team rates about 250 money market, short-term and bond funds in Europe as well as a number of asset management companies.

Responsibilities



An excellent opportunity has arisen in our Managed Funds team based in our London office. You will be providing analytical, statistical and research assistance to the Managed Funds team. Key Responsibilities: - Undertake fundamental research to support senior analysts the/implementation of a new rating process for socially responsible funds - Prepare economic and financial spreadsheets for various funds - Reviewing annual reports to obtain and research information - Develop, monitor and maintain analytical databases] - Support rating analysts in: creating graphs, tables, spreadsheets, comparative statistics, formulating ratios, conducting ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Experience



- Proven relevant experience, previous environmental/ public policy sector experience highly beneficial - Experienced in targeted research either professional or academic - Interest in environmental and sustainable developments

Qualifications



Strong academic background - undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Environmental Economics, Business and/or Public administration

Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills



Key Skills Technical - Strong MS Office skills: principally Excel (including use of macros), Word, Lotus Notes and PowerPoint - Excellent organisational, communication and writing skills - Good quantitative skills - Financial/statistical research capabilities Non technical skills - Client Care & relationship building - Strong attention to detail - Highly organised and efficient - Working to tight deadlines - Work using own initiative and without close supervision
