Established, international, highly successful Hedge Fund and Asset Manager are looking to add expertise to their risk function. Due to their continued organic growth and repeated high-performance it has now become necessary to hire a new risk professional for the team.

This is a growing business, your input will contribute to long term development of the company and their risk structure.  You will need to possess the gravitas and confidence in your decisions to be trusted by the CRO and the Risk Management team who you will be working directly for. It is imperative that you are highly risk aware, a background working for an asset manager, hedge fund or risk service provider is absolutely critical as you will be expected to acclimatise quickly.

As their business expands and products become more complex within you will be expected to support the management and take on some of their risk responsibilities. You will be working with some highly experienced portfolio managers. You will be expected to monitor, manage and mitigate risk exposures and eventually provide council to the front-office.

You will have a good history of success in an analytical function within an asset manager or hedge fund- previous working experience is required. You might be a stand out risk team member, a talented performance/ attribution analyst looking to take your next step forward or you might work at a risk provider. You will have to have a natural mathematical ability to qualify for this business critical position.

A degree level education is required in Maths, Science or a related discipline. Relevant professional qualifications (IMC, CFA enrolled?, FRM etc) and good IT system skills ideally with coding experience (VB, SQL, UNIX) will be highly beneficial.

This is a London, UK based role. Please be aware that all candidates must have permission to work and live in the UK, no relocation costs are offered.
