Top Tier Investment Bank seeks an experienced Product Controller. This is an exciting opportunity as the successful candidate will have a lead role in process improvement and significant involvement with the management of the group.
  • Managing daily and monthly reporting, while improving processes and the control environment.
  • Leading key development and improvement projects.
  • Work with the business, providing information and accounting advice.
  • Manage the Significant New Trade review process to ensure risks relating to large trades are adequately addressed.
  • Partner with the Business to develop P&L explanatory tools for major risk components.
  • Support local finance teams by providing accounting advice, and product training.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to stay informed of cross product issues.
  • Lead significant change projects as they arise to ensure effective and timely completion
  • Key Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level, preferably with a Finance / Business background.
  • In depth technical knowledge of a range of Fixed Income products
  • Qualified  accountant with at least 5 yrs post qualifying experience.  Experience in a major auditing / accounting practice is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of IAS 39 Financial accounting.
  • Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally.
  • Lateral thinker with ability to use own initiative.
