This dynamic, growing life insurer currently has a fantastic opening for a dynamic accounting professional to undertake this challenging but pivotal role within a leading insurer.
Reporting to the Financial Controller for this large Hong Kong business operation and responsibility for up to 10 strong Accountants your role will include:
- Ensure accurate and timely information to regional and international headquarters
- Quarterly Executive Review , Quarterly Business Review and Dashboard: manage process for collection and collation of information, undertake analysis and work with to provide against last year, plans and budgets, for management.
- Group Reporting – Provide FIFRS results for group reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with Regional Office and actuarial for the strategic planning process and ensure reporting requirements from Melbourne and Paris are met. Provide analysis on strategic plan financials.
- Ensure the development and continues tracking of consistent Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other measures of assessment (such as scorecards, target letter, quarterly bonus for distribution)
- Staff development and supervision
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years’ post qualification experience
- Strong understanding/ experience in insurance industry
- Strong technical knowledge in IFRS
- Hands on experience in financial accounting and performance reporting
- Project management experience
- Strong Management Experience
- Experience/ knowledge of PeopleSoft would be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Good English verbal and written communication skills required, Cantonese essential.
- Excellent planning, organization and negotiation skills
