Our client is a new credit fund that is in the process of being raised but given the key names involved it represents one of the best new platforms in the market over the last two years.

They are looking to launch with circa $100m of locked up capital with the potential for the fund to cap out at $1bn over time. The investment focus will be on fairly vanilla corporate lending to small and mid cap European corporate but with the ability to take special situation positions depending on the opportunity.

The right background for this role would include formal training in an investment banking programme and experience of deep value fundamental analysis of corporate credits including extensive contact with management and site visits.

The role will be to evaluate potential investment opportunities and assist the portfolio manager with analysis as well as potential structuring of deals.
