The Senior Business Leader position within the Finance Systems Strategy will be responsible for managing a team of program and business analyst responsible for the defining the Finance systems roadmap and implementation and enhancement of Finance Revenue and Treasury Systems.

Responsibilities:  

The Senior Business Leader position within the Finance Systems Strategy will be responsible for managing a team of program and business analyst responsible for the defining the Finance systems roadmap and implementation and enhancement of Finance Revenue and Treasury Systems.   

Specific responsibilities include: 

Systems Implementation

  • Develop and execute a roadmap for Revenue and Treasury systems for Finance.
  • Identify and establish application and configuration controls for Finance Systems
  • Evaluation and elaboration of the business requirements and provide recommendation for streamlining business processes
  • Assess the interdependencies of multiple system initiatives.
  • Develop a strong partnership with the Project Management Office, Corporate Systems and customers to support design and implementation of large systems  initiatives
  • Partner with Finance Internal Controls to define and develop controls within financial processes as part of new systems rollouts or in process modifications and enhancements for existing modules.
  • Define test procedures to assess design and operating effectiveness of application and configuration controls and
  • ensure compliance with SOX, anti-Fraud policy and anti-Bribery policies
  • Communicate at all levels of management and be able to articulate ideas and propositions clearly
  • Management of the scope, schedule and cost for the overall Financial Systems Strategy program office.
  • Coordinate, sequence and manage various projects that will be running in parallel. 
  • Provide recommendation to management based on best practices and experience working in a global and diverse environment.
  •   Drive efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining, standardizing, centralizing and automating processes and reporting requirements.  
  • Identify opportunities for process standardization, centralization, automation and reducing reliance on excel spreadsheets, automating manual interfaces, redesigning processes and establishing controls for continuous monitoring.
  • Propose and recommend procedures to bring in efficiency thereby reducing cost.

Qualifications  Requirements  

Business and Problem Solving Skills 

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to be objective in all situations and analyses.  Extensive policy, process, and compliance expertise in large, multi-national, publicly-traded corporations.  Revenue accounting experience preferred.  Demonstrated capability to think globally / strategically, turn information into insights, and drive results.

Leadership 

  • Ability to influence across the organization at senior levels and to become a proactive, trusted advisor and thought leader on business initiatives to drive results.  Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and with teams interchangeably.

Communication 

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.  Exceptional interpersonal skills:  can lead cross-functional teams at all levels of the company.  Conflict management skills:  approaches conflicts as opportunities;
  • understands others quickly; can find common ground without comprising total position.

People Management 

  • Proven experience in managing teams, including the ability to provide direction, to assess resource capabilities, and to successfully drive results working with direct reports and dotted-line internal or external resources.  Able to recruit and retain talented individuals; recognizes and addresses individual development opportunities.  Ability to manage outside vendors such as consulting and accounting firms.

Project Management 

  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time.

Experience 

10+ years of business and finance experience, with extensive policy, process, and compliance experience preferably from within large, multi-national, publicly-traded corporations.  Extensive expertise defining business requirements and processes.  Extensive track record influencing change within large, complex, multi-national companies.  Business process experience related to the origination, negotiation, execution, and monitoring of client contracts strongly preferred.  Revenue accounting experience preferred.  International business and Big 4 experience preferred.
