Lead Analyst - Barclaycard CRO, Northampton - Competitive salary from £30,000 with excellent package

What You Will Deliver For Us
Responsible for managing a significant Global function within the Barclaycard Credit Risk Office (CRO) function. This includes strategy development & recommendations, structuring & executing analytical projects to support recommendations and staff responsibilities. Also to lead and ensure delivery of BAU reporting of daily, weekly and monthly reports

What You Will Need
  • 2+ years of experience in the Credit Risk industry

  • 6+ years experience in Financial services Industry

  • Well developed personal organisation and commercial acumen, with the ability to deliver accurate results within tight, pressurised deadlines whilst leading a team

  • Communication and persuasion skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proficiency in Base SAS, SAS Macros, SQL, Excel, VBA

  • Microsoft Applications (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Candidates with a good degree 2:1 or higher or who are qualified through work experience

  • Self-starter, able to work on own initiative and can drive tasks/problems to resolution

  • Practical experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems

  • Able to present complex analytical concepts to all levels of the business

  • Able to define, structure and prioritise work for self as well as others, but who also has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate

  • Also needs a strong commercial focus and a good understanding of the drivers of credit card profitability and the wider Macro economic environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
