Your Role:
You will be part of the Market Access Development team, in charge of developing and maintaining a wide range of in-house electronic trading solutions, spanning from order management and market data systems, to operational risk management tools.
At the crossroad between Front, Middle and Back Office on one hand, Financial Exchanges and third party providers on the other hand, market access systems aim at providing a fast and reliable interface between our core business lines trading applications and various electronic exchanges. In order to face with the high volumes and the very low latency required by real time automated trading, systems are in permanent evolution, implementing state of the art technologies and algorithms, and subject to a continuous monitoring.
You will:
• Be in charge of the software maintenance
• Study the impact in our trading systems when other entities (exchange , broker, etc) change their systems and/or interfaces
• Study new business/IT requests, gather user requirements and write specifications
• Design and implement the required modification (in due time in case of hard deadlines)
• Deliver quality software by passing the validation tests
• Monitor our production systems from time to time to anticipate any potential issues
• Be proactive by proposing enhancements from which the business/IT can benefit (performance or functional improvement)
• Handle level 3 support
Your Profile:
• University graduate in Computer Science or related discipline
• Min. 3,5 years of Developer / Analyst Programmer experience preferably in Investment Banks
• Functional knowledge of Order Management System, Equity or Equity Derivatives business
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Strong knowledge in C++ and OOD (Object Oriented Design), Unix shell scripting
• Technical Environment: Unix Solaris, Linux, Windows NT/2000/XP
