The Financing team at Hudson Advisors Germany GmbH is in charge of evaluating, analysing and executing structured financings and re-financings of assets acquired by Lone Star Funds in Europe for and on behalf of Lone Star. Lone Star’s investment focus in Europe is primarily distressed debt, real estate and complex securities.

(Senior) Associate (m/f) Structured Finance

Activities in this role will include:

• structuring and execution of complex financings for different kinds of assets
• core tasks comprise contacting banks, coordinating the financing process (negotiation of economic and legal aspects on mandate by Lone Star Funds), completion of the financing process (execution of legal documentation jointly with legal advisors) and continuous monitoring of transactions
• develop and maintain relationship to banks and legal advisors
• primary point of contact for internal and external requests throughout the financing process
• data analysis and preparation of reports for banks and other departments at Hudson Advisors and Lone Star Funds
• financial modelling (cash flow modelling, scenario analysis, modelling of terms and conditions, covenants, hedging and other as required by the financing)

Prior working experience should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, law or any other equivalent discipline (continuing education on matters of finance are preferred, e.g. MBA or CFA)
• minimum 2–3 years of experience in the area of structured finance, securitisation, real estate finance or leveraged finance
• being familiar with legal documentation of complex financing structures
• deep understanding of financial markets
• excellent communication and negotiation skills
• advanced financial modelling skills in MS Excel
• project and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and a commitment to meet time schedules
• excellent written and oral skills of the German and English language
