An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UBS as a Logistics Business Unit Controller

UBS is a client-driven global financial services firm. Corporate Center partners with the business divisions to ensure that the firm operates as an effective and integrated whole with a common vision and set of values.

This role is within the Regional Logistics BUC area of Finance Department, the role-holder will be responsible for all aspects of business management for IB Operations in Asia Pacific.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial accounting, control, analytical and face-off support to Asia Pacific IB Operations
  • Perform month-end closing (including P/L & B/S review and journal postings)
  • Monthly preparation and review/ analysis of accruals – mainly on Agent Fees & Outsourcing costs
  • Monthly analysis of financials and face-off to Operations Managers
  • Support in the monthly forecasting process and keep tab that targets are met as appropriate
  • Monthly review of Operations Bill and quarterly preparation and analysis of the Operations bill for Ops Regional Functional Heads and TCO presentations for Front Office Business (receiving Ops services)
  • Lead training and support to internal clients on the Operations billing mechanism
  • Monthly GBSOV and Annual SOX sign-off
  • Ensure financials meet with regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and advisory role to Operations Managers and Front Office Business (receiving Ops services)
  • Provide support in GCRS structural changes within Operations and projects/ initiatives

Requirements:

Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:

  • Degree in Accountancy/ Business Admin/ Banking & Finance with 2-5 years of experience
  • Possess strong accounting knowledge & analytical skills
  • Possess good understanding of accounting standards & policies (ensure regulatory & compliance requirements are met)
  • Be able to articulate & highlight issues and be persistent in following up and resolving them
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong client relationship management skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and SAP General Ledger / Business Warehouse
  • Fresh graduate may apply
