Main Responsibilities
- Perform credit risk analysis and due diligence on counterparties and propose adequate credit limits
- Monitor exposure and propose adequate risk mitigation solutions
- Provide surveillance on assigned portfolio and notify the Credit Manager of any significant deterioration in counterpart credit profile or exposure changes
- Participate actively in weekly risk meetings
- Actively interact with traders, management and Credit team members internally and with counterparts, brokers and rating agencies externally
- Manage and develop customer relationships on assigned portfolio
Qualifications
- College education, Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Economics, Accounting, Business or Finance
- Experience in commercial credit analysis, credit analysis in a trading environment a plus
- Experience in a commodities environment, and physical commodity trading and shipping would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, have worked with contracts and credit documentation, and a good working knowledge of the capital and commodity markets
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and spoken English, Spanish and/or Italian knowledge a plus
