Risk Finance Acchitecture is part of Risk, Finance and Enterprise Shared Services. Risk Finance Architecture are developing a strategic data warehouse called Risk Finance Data Warehouse (RFDW). RFDW is a consolidated data warehouse that serves as a single store for all risk and finance data. Data is sourced from multiple systems, enriched and distributed to multiple consumers, and provides a consistent view of the data.

We are looking for an individual of 7+ years experience with a strong background in Database Environment and Release Management processes with good technical knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g and PL/SQL experience. We have multiple parallel streams of QA, SIT, and UAT and separate environemnts for each. This role will take the lead in creating a robust environment and release management process for the strategic Risk & Finance Data warehouse project.

• Database Release and configuration management
• Process Documentation
• Coordinate creation of schemas, data management and data refresh
• Setup automated release management process for database releases
• Coordinate with other teams: DBA, Engineering, QA, UAT, Development
• Coding in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Shell, Perl
• Testing
• Establishing Best Practices for Database Release Management and Development
• The right individual could play a dual role of Environment Lead and Senior Oracle Developer.

The ideal candidate would have a proven history of environment and release management using industry standard source control tools, as well as hands on experience in Oracle development using SQL and PL/SQL. Skills required are:

• Oracle Database Release Management & Automation
• Knowledge of Perforce
• Solid Unix Skills
• Solid SQL and Oracle PL/SQL Skills
• Experience keeping track of multiple parallel environments. We have 8 QA and SIT environments.
• Solid understanding of Oracle 10g / 11g from an Environment and Development perspective
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts
• Understanding data modeling with emphasis on Physical modeling
• Preferably experience working with large databases - multi terabytes (3+ Terabytes)
• Knowledge of financial products is a plus
• Modeling tools is a plus: ER/Studio, ERWin, Enterprise Architect
• Any BI (Business Intelligence) / OLAP exp is a plus
• Java is a plus
• strong inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team
