Due to exponential growth in Asia, a well-established global financial institution with a strong presence in Asia is seeking a Financial Controls Project Manager to lead projects across Asia Pacific Financial Controls team.


The Role


The Financial Control team is responsible for the preparation of statutory, regulatory, tax and management reports for the Institution.   Working in the Asia Financial Control Projects Team to support Asia Pacific Financial Control with current ‘Change’ initiatives, you will identify, plan and drive change across Financial Control in Asia.  You will execute projects according to the project framework and monitor the progress of projects against detailed project plans. You will work with IT and users to identify solutions and document business requirements. You will implement and co-ordinate project plan and user acceptance plan. You will also report project status to stakeholders, as well as track efficiencies and work with Asia Financial Control Directors and VPs to identify strategic initiatives and define roadmap for key deliverables. You are expected to review and document existing processes and develop target operating models encompassing preparation of all associated business requirements/specifications to achieve set objectives.

The Candidate

You should be degree qualified with a CPA/CA. You must have minimum 7 years of financial controls and project management experience with a Banking or Finance background. Experience in process re-engineering besides developing and implementing tactical and strategic solutions to deliver process efficiencies is also essential. 

The successful candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter and strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You must possess good project management skills managing finance-related projects coupled with strong Excel skills.
