Our client is a global fund manager with a large Real Estate arm. Working within this group they require a senior associate with China experience to join the Asian arm of their global real estate Fund.

This role will focus on enhancing and supporting the acquisition/investment process with responsibilities including:

• Sourcing, evaluation and analysis of potential investment opportunities
• Execution of transactions
• Writing and presenting investment memorandums & external client communications
• Coverage of targeted markets
• Modeling sophisticated investment structures and reviewing analyses performed by analysts
• Leading the due diligence and closing process, including management of external consultants
• Managing and training analysts
• Actively participating in the negotiations of sale and purchase agreements, management agreements, financings, leases, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years real estate investment experience focused on the China market. Ideally they will have experience with a fund manager and a solid understanding of return on investment. They will have coverage of multiple asset classes and product lines and have real estate qualifications. A proven track record in China based investment is required

Essential skills include fluency in both mandarin and English, strong analytical ability, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks.
