MANAGER, TECHNOLOGY

- Trading & Risk Management -

As Manager, Technology in the Trading and Risk Management (TRM) practice you will provide leadership to an international, multi-disciplinary team realizing innovative Trading and Risk Management IT solutions to our clients – primarily from the Financial and Energy Trading sector. You will oversee the planning, design, development, and site architecture management throughout the project lifecycle. In this hands-on managing consultant role you will also facilitate workshops and client meetings, as well as engage in building and maintaining client relationships.

Your Key responsibilities: 

• Work closely with clients to establish technology strategy at an application level.
• Establish high, mid and micro level plans, set technical direction, anticipate issues/risks and translate client business requirements into system designs
• Manage project teams from definition phase through implementation.
• Support client relationship building and identify sales opportunities
• Facilitate workshops and client meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor`s degree
• Experience in physical/financial trading in UK/European commodity/financial derivative markets.
• Experience with energy / financial trading & risk management solutions. Experience in a consultancy preferred.
• Systems experience in any of the following a plus: OLF/Endur, Murex, Allegro, Calypso, Global Energy/KWI TriplePoint, SolArc RightAngle.
• Profound work experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration and package implementation.
• Knowledge in OO software development and technologies such as Java, C/C++, relational databases (i.e. Oracle, MS SQL Server, IBM DB2), Middleware Platforms (i.e. J2EE or .NET), Enterprise Solution Packages (i.e. EAI, CMS, portals) and i.e. RUP, UML
• Proven project and team leadership skills
• Significant travel may be required as much of the work is done at the client site
