An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UBS as a Change manager - Investment Bank Operations

UBS is a client-driven global financial services firm. Our leading investment banking and securities business provides a broad range of products and services to our corporate and institutional clients, governments, financial intermediaries and alternative asset managers.

The role is to manage the APAC GRU (Global Reconciliation Utility) change portfolio with additional responsibility for managing the APAC REX Business Office (RBO). REX is an inter-system reconciliation tool used bank wide, owned by Operations. It is proprietary build in house to provide an automated matching platform between the systems to ensure that differences are picked up timely for rectification, thereby mitigating risk. Managing the Investment Bank Operations’ intersystem reconciliations tool – REX and work closely with internal Operations and non-Operations end users of the tool, as well as the REX developers and IT support teams to deliver reconciliation solutions to GRU stakeholders is part of the role too.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for owning and driving the APAC GRU change agenda, providing business expertise and guidance into the Rec Utility IT Programme
  • Work closely with the global GRU teams, and other functions within Operations to drive the GRU Business Target Operating Model
  • Responsible for delivering reconciliation solutions to stakeholders, ensuring maximisation of benefit and reduction of costs by leveraging common technology solutions within the GRU
  • The APAC GRU Change Manager will be responsible at a regional level for the APAC RBO resource

Requirements:

Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:

  • Strong accounting or audit background combined with banking product knowledge and reconciliation, if the experience is in a investment bank, this would be a plus.
  • Proven project management track record and strong stakeholder management skill set
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, Visio & PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills – across all levels of seniority and locations (both written & spoken), any additional Asian languages would be a plus
  • Confident and must posses good people skills
