Data Specialist

Our Client is a private institutional investment management complex consisting of an international team of researchers, traders and technologists who constantly push the limits of quantification and automation in the development of its trading processes. Continuously evolving for ever-greater efficiency enables them to trade today the way others will tomorrow

• Support data collection, validation and related data operations. 
• Must be familiar with Unix/Linux environment, bash scripting, common utilities. 
• Experienced with C++, Perl programming, familiar with Object Oriented programming. 
• Knowledge about database is a plus.  Knowledge of computer networks, HTTP, CGI, XML, FTP. 
• Software design and implementation skills, design patterns, data structures and basic algorithms. 
• Previous knowledge about finance is not required but preferred. 
• Basic knowledge of statistics is preferred.
