Finance Manager
Due to exponential growth in Asia, a well-established global financial institution with a strong presence in Asia is seeking a Finance Manager to lead one of the group financial reporting teams.
The Role
The Financial Control team is responsible for statutory, regulatory, tax and management reporting for the Institution. Within Financial Control, this role will form a part of the Group Financial Reporting Singapore team.
You are responsible for the operational management and financial control for UK and Asia Pacific (Singapore and Japan) companies. You will lead the one of the group financial reporting teams. You will manage the group financial reporting and control for Asia Pacific entities, global cost recharges process, global revenue transfer pricing and sales credits process.
You will have regular interaction with various functions including the financial controllers of trading entities, cost decision support team on the cost allocation process etc. You will ensure the entity profitability is in line with the cost transfer pricing methodology and accurate transfer pricing for the receiving trading entities, as well as ensuring the entity financials comply with local and IFRS accounting standards and challenging the current processes to improve on efficiencies.
You are responsible for the running of day-to-day accounting processes, managing the period-end accounts close and management reporting the Group. You will also support the Entity Controller on inter-company reconciliations, account attestation, preparation for letter of Representation meetings and tax (corporate tax, VAT etc), coupled with managing cash flows and optimal fund utilization.
The Candidate
You should have a strong academic background in finance with a CPA/CA and preferably prior experience with a ‘Big Four’ firm. You must have minimum 5 to 7 years of post qualification experience with a background in Finance or Investment Banking. Experience in transfer pricing and/or cost allocation will be advantageous.
The successful candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter and strong team player with strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. You must possess strong accounting skills, internal control awareness coupled with good Excel skills. Candidates with experience working in Big 4 audit firms or a SAP financial accounting environment will be preferred. The ideal candidate must be meticulous, diligent, responsible and tenacious.
