Business Unit Overview: The Global Talent Management team is responsible for providing a broad range of Professional, Management, and Leadership development programs across the Americas, EMEA and APAC in addition to developing and maintaining annual Talent Practices.

Job Purpose/Background:

This role is to be a part of the New York based Global Talent Management team providing design, delivery and coordination of management and leadership development programs and assist in the coordination of executive coaching.  The role will also partner closely with HR Relationship Managers to provide support on leadership development and team building as well as advise on the broader Talent Management suite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Manage and track coaching engagements for the New York/ East Coast region

·         Responsible for the delivery of the management & leadership program suite in New York, including on-going development pathway

·         Identify, partner and build relationships with selected vendors and external consultants to deliver appropriate development solutions to the organization

·         Consult with the RMs and business on leadership development, team building and talent practices and provide guidance on best practices

·         Serve as a strong partner to the Professional Development and Talent Practices leads in delivering best-in-class Talent Management solutions to the organization

·         Educate BlackRock professionals on the firm’s development model, which is focused on Education, Experience and Exposure

·         Embed the BlackRock Principles into development offerings

·         Keep abreast of best practices in management & leadership development

·         Participate in ad hoc projects as required

·         Delivery of talent practices training as required

·         Facilitation of team building and various training sessions for the business

·         Work with global talent management team members on global projects and implementation of global programs for the New York / East Coast region

 

Skills & Qualifications:

·         5+ years of HR experience, preferably in management/leadership development

·         Minimum bachelor degree in a related field

·         Experience in delivery of learning & development programs

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Experience with internal consulting/partnering

·         Experience in design of development solutions such as team building

·         Facilitation skills

·         Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high results

·         Passion for learning & development and talent management practices

·         Experience working in a global, dispersed team

·         Financial services experience preferred
